New Revenue Streams
New Revenue Streams
Gott Technical Services is seeing a dramatic increase in main dealers being interested in finding alternative revenue streams. There are many reasons for this, however, one major reason is being able to counter potential future losses of traditional service revenue due to the increase in the electric vehicle parc.
We have identified a wealth of untapped opportunities with the up-sell of replacement tyres, wheel alignments, and tyre rotation services. A new product, the Treadspec drive over tyre tread scanner ramp with its intuitive software, provides an automatic solution to increased sales. Simply drive over the scanner ramp and a report of tyre tread depth, uneven wear, possible alignment issues, and rotation recommendations will be available before the technician has left the vehicle. Real-time use of this equipment has shown that on average, 30% of vehicles scanned require an alignment.
The quality of the reports provided has been proven to give technicians and front-of-house service advisors the confidence to upsell services which can increase their sales. This is boosted by the fact the report includes a photo of the customer’s vehicle captured as it drove over the ramp and ANPR technology files their licence plate details alongside the readings. But it’s not just about immediate revenue earning capabilities because providing a visual report that shows tyres are in good condition can create a great customer experience with an improved likelihood of customer retention. Return on investment is also accelerated when you consider the time saved by technicians not having to manually measure tread depth or put the vehicle on a wheel aligner just to check whether it needs an alignment. With open API the TreadSpec reports can be integrated into Electronic Vehicle Health Check systems.
The next generation of the TreadSpec ramp has just been launched. With its low drive-over height, of 44mm, and a slim profile of only 250mm, it can accommodate low profile vehicles and saves you room in your workshop

If a fixed drive over scanner does not suit your premises, we also have the Groove Glove hand held tyre tread scanner which produces the same outstanding quality of reports as the drive-over model.
Some of our customers are finding that having a wheel aligner that is fixed to one bay can be quite restrictive. Instead they find our T2410-BT mobile wheel aligner that can be used on a 2 post lift, in any bay, increases their ability to carry out chargeable alignments.
